Origens of endermology
The French engineer Louis Paul Guitay developed in 1985 an apparatus to treat the scars which his daughter had suffered after being burnt. It became apparent that fatty skin deposits also disappeared.
From that moment the apparatus has been intensively developed and applied for skin treatments. Not only in France, but since 1994 with great success in the USA and also, since 1997, in the Netherlands - especially in the field of plastic surgery. Now the treatment known as endermology is available in some eighty countries.
The technique
The treatment is carried out using an apparatus attatched to the base unit by a tube. While the rollers massage the skin, air is sucked through the tube. This combination gives an intensive skin treatment which can be adjusted for each skin type.
This technique is non-surgical, practical and completely safe, although in cases of certain medicine use it is not applied.
And it's effect on your skin
This method of massage causes an intensive flow of blood to the skin and underlying tissues. Blood and lymph circulation increase dramatically, resulting in an extra supply of oxygen and an intensified removal of waste products in the treated body parts.
At the same time the creation of elastin and collagen - fibrous proteins - is increased. These are essential ingredients for supple, firm, smooth and healthy skin.
